Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Masitus collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run Masitus, we never sell it, and we never use your content to train models.
Last updated 26 September 2026Who we are
Masitus (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in it at communications@masitus.com.
This policy covers this website, the Masitus waitlist, and the Masitus app.
Information we collect
When you visit this website
- How the site is used. When a page loads, and when you press a button, play the film, step through the story or scroll to a section, we record what happened and when. We also record the page, the website that linked you here (just its name, such as google.com), any campaign tags in the link, how long you stayed and how far you scrolled, and whether your browser identifies itself as an automated crawler. To count unique visitors we store a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address. We never store the IP address itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
- Fonts. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when it fetches them. Google handles that under its own privacy policy.
We do not use cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this website.
When you join the waitlist
Your work email address, so we can confirm it, place you with your team, and invite you when a place opens.
When you use Masitus
- Account details. Your name, email address and account identifier from Google when you sign in.
- Connection credentials. The access tokens that let Masitus read the tools you connect. We store them encrypted.
- Workspace content. Content from the tools you choose to connect, such as Slack messages, Gmail threads, Google Calendar events, Google Drive or OneDrive files, GitHub pull requests and Jira issues. Masitus only reads the tools you connect, and each person sees only what they could already see in the source tool.
- What Masitus produces. The briefs, links between records, insights and drafts Masitus creates from that content, and the actions you approve.
How we use it
- To provide Masitus: reading your connected tools, building your brief, answering your questions and carrying out actions you approve.
- To run the waitlist and write to you about your invite.
- To understand, in aggregate, how many people visit this site and join the waitlist.
- To keep Masitus secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
Masitus is read-only by default. It writes to your tools only when you approve an action, and only as you.
We do not sell your information. Your content is never used to train AI models, ours or any provider’s.
AI processing
Masitus uses Google’s Gemini models, through Google Cloud, to read and summarise your workspace content. That content is sent to the model only to produce your results. Under our agreement with Google it is not used to train Google’s models.
Who we share it with
- Google Cloud hosts Masitus and its databases and provides the Gemini models, acting on our instructions as our processor.
- The tools you connect (Slack, Google, GitHub, Microsoft, Atlassian) receive requests from Masitus on your behalf, including any actions you approve.
- Authorities, where the law requires it, and a successor business if Masitus is ever reorganised or acquired. You will be told before any such change affects your information.
Security
Data travels between your browser and Masitus over encrypted HTTPS connections. The credentials that connect Masitus to your tools are encrypted by Masitus before they are stored, so they are never kept in readable form.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist email: until you are invited and create an account, or until you ask us to remove it.
- Workspace content and everything derived from it: for as long as the tool stays connected. When you disconnect a tool or close your account, the related data is deleted within 30 days.
- Visit counts: kept only in hashed form, for as long as they are useful for aggregate statistics.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, write to communications@masitus.com. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Your information may be processed outside the country where you live, in the regions where Google Cloud hosts Masitus.
Cookies and browser storage
Masitus does not use cookies. Because nothing here tracks you, there is no cookie banner and nothing to accept.
We use your browser’s local storage only for things Masitus needs to work, or that you asked for:
- Your light or dark theme choice on this website.
- Your sign-in session in the Masitus app, so you stay signed in.
- Small app preferences, such as whether you have finished onboarding and which brief items you have read.
- A one-time security value during Google sign-in, cleared when you close the tab.
None of this is shared with third parties. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings. Clearing it signs you out of the app.
Children
Masitus is a work tool and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
